We'll give you direction when you need it, keep things relaxed, and give you space when the moment is better left alone. Our goal is to create photographs that look beautiful while still feeling completely like you.

Ken personally photographs many of our weddings, but Ken Hild Photography is also proud to have a trusted team of experienced lead photographers - some of whom have worked with our studio for more than 10 years. Our lead photographers work alongside Ken extensively before photographing weddings on their own, learning the approach, expectations, and level of service that define the Ken Hild Photography experience. You'll always know who your lead photographer will be, before booking and you can feel confident that your wedding is in experienced hands.

And fun fact: we actually have several other Kens on our photography team, so there's even a chance you still have Ken behind the camera. Apparently, great photographers named Ken have a way of finding us.

Yes. We include a complimentary couples session - often called an engagement session - with every Ken Hild Photography wedding collection. There's no additional charge because we believe the experience is genuinely valuable before the wedding day.

If gives us a chance to get to know each other, helps you become comfortable in front of the camera, and lets us learn what feels natural to you. Couples sometimes tell us they don't need a session, but we always encourage them to take advantage of it. Think of it as a relaxed practice run before the wedding day - with some great photographs as a bonus.

And yes, dogs are always welcome. We love when couples bring their four-legged family member along.

We include two photographers with our wedding collections because it allows us to tell the story of your day from more than one perspective. While one photographer may be focused on you, the second can capture your partner, your family's reactions, the details, all of those little moments happening around you. It's especially helpful when getting-ready locations are separate or several things are happening at once.

That said, two photographer aren't required for every wedding. Some smaller or more intimate weddings may only need one, and we're always happy to talk through what makes the most sense for your day. Our goal isn't to give you something you don't need - it's to make sure you have the right coverage for your wedding.

Rain doesn't ruin your wedding photographs - some of our favorite images have been created on rainy wedding days. We always come prepared with a backup plan and will work with your venue, planner, and timeline to make the most of whatever the weather gives us.

We will look for beautiful indoor locations, covered areas, and breaks in the weather, and if you're up for stepping outside, we can create some incredible photographs in the rain too. The forecast may change the plan, but it doesn't change our goal: beautiful, timeless photographs, and a wedding day you'll actually enjoy.

There's a good chance we have. Ken Hild Photography has photographed weddings throughout Long Island, and the tri-state area for many years. We're proud to have long-standing relationships with some of Long Island's premier wedding venues and to serve as a preferred or house photographer at select locations like Flowerfield, Lands End, Old Field Club, and Oceanbleu, Peconic Bay Yacht Club, Gatsby on the Ocean. The Bayview and Stewart Manor.

But if your venue is new to us, that's never a problem. We don't rely on recreating the same photographs in the same locations. We'll get to know the property, look at the light, scout the best locations, and approach your wedding with fresh eyes. Even venues we've photographed hundreds of times, we're always looking for a new angle or a different way to tell your story.

Absolutely. A great wedding day is a team effort. If you have a wedding planner or day of coordinator, we're happy to work closely with them, along with your venue coordinator, videographer, DJ/Band, florist, content creator, and other wedding professionals to help everything run smoothly.

And if you don't have a planner, you're in good hands too. After photographing weddings for many years, we know how much a thoughtful timeline can affect the entire experience. We'll help build a photography timeline that allows enough time for moments that matter without making your wedding feel rushed or overly scheduled. Many of our couples have told us that our timeline guidance felt like having an extra planner in their corner.

Wether you have a full planning team, or your doing it yourselves, our goal is the same: keep things organized, stay flexible when plans change, and help you spend less time worrying about the schedule and more time enjoying your wedding.

Yes. Ken Hild Photography is fully insured, and we're happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (CIO) whenever your venue requires one. We regularly work with Long Island wedding venues and understand their vendor insurance requirements.

At venues we serve as a house or preferred photographer, our insurance information may already be on file. If your venue needs a new CIO or has specific requirements, just let us know and we'll make sure they receive the proper documentation before your wedding day.

Every wedding is different, so we don't put an exact number on how many photographs you'll receive. The size of your gallery depends on things like length of coverage, number of photographers, guest count, and everything happening throughout the day.

What we can promise is that we won't hold back meaningful photographs just to hit a certain number. Your final gallery will tell the complete story of your wedding - from the big moments and family portraits to the details, reactions, and little moments you may not even realize are happening. Every delivered image is carefully selected and professionally edited in the timeless, true-to-color style that defines Ken Hild Photography.

Our typical turnaround time for a complete wedding gallery is approximately 6-8 weeks, although some galleries are delivered sooner. During the busiest parts of wedding season, delivery may take a little longer. Every wedding is different, and we'd rather give each gallery the attention it deserves than rush the editing process.

You won't have to wait that long to start reliving your day. We provide a sneak-peek shortly after the wedding, along with a mobile gallery app so you can easily view, enjoy and share your favorite moments. With your permission, we also love sharing sneak peeks on Instagram and Facebook so you can share, tag, and celebrate with friends and family.

Absolutely. We believe there's something special about seeing your wedding photographs in print, and we offer professionally designed wedding albums that can be customized to fit your style and the story of the day.

Wedding albums are included with our Ultimate Collection. With our other wedding collections, albums can be added and customized based on what you'd like - from the album itself to additional parent albums and other printed pieces. We'll help you through the design process so creating your album never feels overwhelming.

Yes. Wedding videography can easily be added to your photography collection. We work with a trusted group of experienced videographers including our longtime partners at Wedding Cinema, so photography and video can work seamlessly together throughout your wedding day.

Video options can include wedding-day coverage, drone footage when conditions and locations allow, a highlight film, and an edited feature film. We can customize the coverage based on what matters most to you and how you want to remember your day.

We also offer wedding-day content creation for couples who want candid, behind-the-scenes moments captured and ready to enjoy and share right away. Photography, videography, and content creation can all work together to tell the story of your day in different ways.

As soon as you have your wedding date and venue, it's a good idea to start the conversation. Popular dates - especially Friday and Saturdays during peak wedding season - can book well in advance, often a year or more.

We have the ability to photograph multiple weddings with our experienced team of lead photographers, so even if Ken is booked, we may still have availability for your date. But dates can fill quickly, and availability can change while you're deciding. Your wedding date is officially reserved once your contract is signed and retainer are completed.

We never want you to feel pressured into making a decision, but we also hate seeing a couple come back ready to book only to find their date is no longer available. If Ken Hild Photography feels like the right fit, we recommend securing the date once you're ready.

Absolutely. While Long Island is home, Ken Hild Photography is available for weddings throughout New York City, the tri-state area and beyond. We love photographing weddings in new places and are always happy to travel for the right celebrations.

Travel needs can vary depending on the location and the coverage your choose, so just tell us where you're getting married and we'll take it from there. Not at all. Photography isn't just something I do - it's been my career. I studied photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan, and I've built my professional life around the camera. Weddings are the heart of what I do today, but my work extends beyond them.

I've photographed architecture and interiors for clients across the East Coast, with work featured in Architectural Digest, as well as food photography published in a nationally distributed cookbook.

More recently, thanks to my daughter, you'll also find me on the sidelines photographing youth sports - capturing energy, emotion, and the moments that make the game memorable.

Through The Next Chapter by Ken Hild Photography, I also continue working with many of my wedding couples as their families grow, photographing maternity sessions, family portraits, and all the milestones that come after the wedding day.
